Share the classics, read free.
For readers with an audience: BookTok, Bookstagram, BookTube, podcasts, teachers and book-club hosts. Bring your readers to Obscura and we’ll look after you.

Every book in the library and everything members get, free while you’re an affiliate.
10 gift memberships a year
A free year of Obscura for someone new, to give to your audience, your club or your friends.
20% off for your audience
Your own code and link: 20% off a member’s first year, after the free trial.
30% commission
30% of what each member you bring pays in their first 12 months: about $22.92 for a monthly member or $16.56 for a yearly one.
The numbers
| Monthly | Yearly | |
|---|---|---|
| Usual price | $7.99 a month | $69 a year |
| With your code, first year | $6.39 a month | $55.20 |
| You earn, first year | about $22.92 | about $16.56 |
Every membership starts with a free trial; commission begins with the first payment. It’s payable 60 days after each payment (refunds come first) and paid automatically to your bank through Stripe once you have $25 or more. Prices in US dollars, before tax.
The rules
- Say clearly that a post is an ad or an affiliate link (“#ad”, “I earn from this link”), as US law requires.
- No paid search ads on “Obscura Classics”, coupon websites or spam.
- Gift codes are gifts: never sell them.
- Free access, your code and future commission end if you stop being an affiliate. Commission you’ve already earned is still paid.
For now the programme is open to US residents only. We read every application.
